Shipping Policy


SHIPPING INFORMATION

Your delivery will come by a freight carrier. By their policy they are only required to deliver to a loading dock, street level or kerb side only. If you don’t have a dock and your item is heavy, you will need to take your item off the truck so please have enough help available or order tail-gate delivery (see below).

Tail-gate delivery is where the freight carrier uses a lift to lower your equipment to the ground. If you do not have a loading dock and tail-gate is required please let us know at the time of the order so we could arrange it for you.

Some over-sized items will not fit on a tail-gate and will require a fork-lift.  

If you need 24-hour notice before delivery, please let us know. For larger items, we highly recommend that you pre-measure your doorways to make sure it will fit through. You must be able and available to receive your merchandise when the truck arrives especially if delivery arrangements have been made. If the truck needs to return another day, storage and re-delivery charges apply.

Delivery as standard is a kerb side delivery to a ground floor site.

This does not include unpacking and positioning, which must be done by the customer. Drivers will be unable to assist with the unpacking process due to liability insurance regulation.

 If your delivery is required to go upstairs, in a lift or there is a special requirement involved and SuperModern is not notified in advance prior to the delivery date, the delivery may be refused by the driver, and you will be required to pay a fee to have the goods redelivered.

Goods that are shipped on behalf of the client by SuperModern are not insured unless the client notifies us prior to delivery and pays the appropriate delivery fee to include insurance. 

Please DO NOT book any fitters or installers of the equipment ordered until after the goods have been delivered and inspected by yourself. We will not take any responsibility for any costs incurred as a result of arranging this in advance of delivery.

 SuperModern is not liable for any lost profits or business interruption that may have directly, indirectly, or incidentally arisen from a delivery delay of the order. It is the customer’s responsibility to plan and prepare for such instances.

The customer is responsible for ensuring that all items will fit onto or within the premises. You are to check all entry door dimensions to ensure the product will fit onto or within the site. Any charges caused by an aborted delivery due to this will be passed onto the customer.

PICK UP AT OUR WAREHOUSE

Please use the appropriate size van, truck or trailer when collecting from our warehouse. All the product information on sizes is on our website and provided in the invoice.

Pick up is only available after full payment is received in SuperModern’s account.

Please assure you bring the invoice and identification with you when you come to the warehouse.

Warehouse operating hours are Monday to Friday 9.30 am to 5.30pm.

The customer is to inspect the goods delivered/ picked up and report any issues immediately verbally and in writing to sales@supermodern.com.au
